In this workshop you will hand make an oversized doughnut, decorate it and another 5 doughnuts to take home and share with the fam OR eat all to yourself.

THE WORKSHOP

  • You will roll out dough and cut an over sized doughnut to be fried
  • You will learn how to make a doughnut glaze, chocolate ganache topping, white glaze
  • dip, drizzle and marble your doughnuts
  • decorate your doughnuts with sprinkles, confetti, glitter, flowers and more

INCLUDES

  • Just bring yourselvess and a phone or camera if you to take photos

In this workshop you will make a beautiful, Swiss Meringue Buttercream cake, decorated with chocolate sails and all those bits and pieces that are readily available and easy to get your hands on.

THE WORKSHOP:

  • Learn how to make a perfect Swiss meringue Buttercream and some sneaky meringue kisses
  • Learn how to make both white dark chocolate ganaches
  • How to make a soft ganache that will drip effortlessly.
  • Split and fill a 6 inch round cake with ganache and fillings of your choice until it is 5 inches tall and then cover it in Swiss Meringue Buttercream in a semi-naked style.
  • Make some super simple and stunning chocolate sails
  • Learn how to finish off your cake using all your bits and pieces.

Baking Basics – night class

In this hands on baking workshop you will learn how to make 2 of my most popular chocolate cakes, suitable for different styles of decorated cakes. AND you get to take them home and share them …. or eat them to yourself.   In the car.   On your way home!

THE WORKSHOP: 

  • Learn how to prepare and line your baking tins, to protect your baking beauties from an overcooked edge.
  • Learn how to make a moist boiled chocolate cake, perfectly suited for covering with Swiss meringue buttercream for a semi naked style
  • Bake 6 cupcakes and decorate them in different styles
  • tips on how to convert one of these recipes to suit certain types of allergies
  • We will make a batch of swiss meringue buttercream and some piped meringue kisses
  • Finally a soft ganache to pour over our finished cakes 8 inch round medium mud cakes

Fondant Basics

In this workshop you will make a beautiful, sharp-edged, fondant covered cake with a large fantasy Flower that you can take home to share with the fam and your friends

THE WORKSHOP:

  • Learn how to make dark chocolate and white chocolate ganaches.
  • Split and fill an 8 inch round cake with ganache and fillings of your choice and then cover your cake in ganache to create the perfect base for your fondant covering.
  • Colour fondant and cover your cake with a plain or marbled colour fondant and create those crispy sharp edges.
  • Cover Your board
  • Learn how to make a large sugar fantasy flower.
  • Discuss various techniques to complete your final cake design

  • Learn how to make a moist boiled chocolate cake, perfectly suited for covering with Swiss meringue buttercream for a semi naked style
  • tips on how to convert one of these recipes to suit certain types of allergies
  • We will make some basic flavoured sugar syrups used in between layers to prevent cakes from drying out.
  • Bake a light chocolate cake and 12 cupcakes for decorating
  • Finally a soft ganache to pipe in between layers of a naked style cake.
